Tax Refund Delays - 2019

• Due to the government shutdown, the IRS will be delayed in processing tax returns/refunds, as they are only at 60% staffed at the time. Expect returns/refunds to be processed starting January 28, 2019 for filers with no additional tax credits.

• Any refund that claims (additional tax credits...) the EIC credit or child tax credit will not be processed by the IRS until Thursday February 15, 2018. This is in an effort for the IRS to thwart fraud for these refundable credits. Please be aware of this years return/refund delays.
